These All-American gals don’t beat around the bush as they skewer and celebrate country music at their rib-tickling hoedown. Southern bred, but NYC based, Katy Frame & Marie Cecile Anderson have been featured on IFC, PBS, CBS, and many other three-letter networks.
They’ve toured the country opening for the likes of musical parodist “Weird Al” Yankovic, bassist extraordinaire Les Claypool, guitar hero Dweezil Zappaand rockabilly vet Reverend Horton Heat. Their sophomore album “Don’t Beat Around the Bush” debuted in March 2016 on the top 20 iTunes comedy chart and their YouTube Channel just hit over a million views!

From New York City's undisputed queen of the underground, Take A Number, Inc. welcomes Penny Arcade to Irvington Town Hall Theater in her award-winning show, Longing Lasts Longer, which turns contemporary stand-up on its head to create a crack in the post-gentrified landscape. Driven by her magnetic rock 'n' roll energy, Arcade's razor-sharp satire is mixed live to euphoric soundscapes inspired by four decades of pop culture. A blow against the golden age of stupidity, this is a passionate and exuberant performance anthem where you can think, laugh, and dance at the same time.

Penny Arcade, aka Susana Ventura, is an internationally respected performance artist, actress, poet & theater maker. Her text-based work is known for it’s humor, high content, highly quotable wit and its focus on community building. She is the author of over ten full-length works and hundreds of solo performance pieces. Penny debuted in 1968 in John Vaccaro’s explosive Playhouse of the Ridiculous, New York’s legendary glitter/glam, rock and roll, seminal queer political theatre. At 19 she was a superstar for Andy Warhol’s Factory featured in the Warhol/Morrissey comedy, Women in Revolt. An independent artist for almost 50 years, her use of performance as a transformative act, mark her as a true original in American Theatre.
With her longtime collaborator of 25 years, Steve Zehentner, they co-helm The Lower East Side Biography Project, Stemming The Tide Of Cultural Amnesia, a video oral history documentary project that works to ensure that future generations have access to the mad souls of invention that built the Lower East Side's reputation as an incubator for authenticity, rebellion, and iconoclasm. A former architect, Steve Zehentner is a filmmaker, theater designer/director and archivist based in New York City. Since 1992, he has collaborated with Penny Arcade on dozens of shows including Sisi Sings The Blues – Vienna Festival, Love, Sex and Sanity, Rebellion Cabaret, New York Values, Bad Reputation, True Stories, Bitch! Dyke! Faghag! Whore! and Longing Lasts Longer. Together they have created anarchic humanist spectacles in over 50 cities around the world. They are currently developing Old Queen, a theatrical memoir that evokes the magic in the gay bars and coffee shops of the 1960’s.

Tammy Lang a/k/a Tammy Faye Starlite has become one of the brightest stars in the Downtown New York scene. After her days as a “wacky maid,” on The Guiding Light, Tammy Faye created a new kind of cabaret. Equally gifted as an actor and singer, Tammy Faye created the Starlite character, a chipper yet bitter country music singer whose reactionary rantings and authentically convincing Partonesque vocals made for sophisticated satire of the highest—or lowest—order.
Since then she has dived deep into the vaults of art-pop-rock-whatever to create Nico: Underground, her bio-show that brings back the late Velvet Underground icon in all of her fuzzed-out, deadpan glory. With mentions of Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, Jackson Brown, John Cale and Andy Warhol, she animates the character providing both historical context and up to the minute contemporary references. With Cabaret Marianne, Lang saluted Marianne Faithfull, one of the great, straight-talking divas of pop music. Just A Kiss Away, her latest show, is an adaptation and rearrangement of noted Rolling Stones songs to make them come alive in a cabaret context. Tammy’s approach to the Jagger/Richards songbook finds her bringing intimacy to the Stones' repertoire while channeling the attitude and affect of Mick Jagger, but with less estrogen.
Linda Tolbert was born and raised in Harlem. At the age of 23, she moved to London where she worked as a model, dancer, backing singer, rapper, and voice over artist. Linda then trained in Maria Montessori’s theory of human development and put what she learned into practice teaching students and managing youth clubs.
When Linda moved back to the U.S. in 2009, finding her country just as racist as it was in 1986, she created Soul Sista #1, a character based on the blaxploitation film Cleopatra Jones. She has done a short film as the title character and now a one-woman show of the same name. Soul Sista #1 fights racial injustice, and includes quotes from Linda's experiments on social media, both hilarious and terrifying, turning the tables on white people, simply by calling them white people.
The Soul Sista #1 character is the perfect vehicle for Linda to express her views on racism, the power of love, and the need for justice. In her bitch slapping, one woman show, Linda will channel the strong, proud, black goddess to reveal the 11 universal truths, the 11 human superpowers, and the 11 self-love commandments everyone needs to practice before they can become her allies in the battle to save the world from hate, indifference, and injustice.
